Irish is among the oldest continuously attested vernacular literatures in Western Europe. This directory follows its poetry from the bardic fili and the poets of dispossession, through the Anglo-Irish and Revival generations, the modernists and the Innti poets, to the writers working now.
Poets are listed alphabetically, and by period, county, language and tradition. The poems themselves are not held here — the archives and resources page is where to read them, and every entry links onward to a published source.
