The Innti generation (poetry in Irish, from 1970)
INNTI, founded at UCC in 1970 by Michael Davitt, brought Dylan, the Beats and the counterculture into poetry in Irish, and changed what the language could sound like. Its poets — Davitt, Liam Ó Muirthile, Nuala Ní Dhomhnaill, Gabriel Rosenstock — remain the hinge of the modern tradition.
